The United Nations Secretary General's Special Envoy for Yemen Affairs Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed has warned of losing dialogue opportunity among the Yemeni parties and has reiterated that military operations never solve the crisis. In his speech in a session held by the United Nations Security Council on Yemen Ismail Ould Sheikh Ahmed said that "Everyone is now aware that there is no military solution for this dispute and that only peace dialogue paves the way for a better future." He pointed out that Yemen is burning while its people are living in a disastrous situation in a bleeding country and collapsing cities. "I have currently contacts with all the involved parties in order to agree on the time and venue as well as the action mechanism," Ould Sheikh said. Yemen has been under incessant Saudi strikes since March 26. The strikes are supposedly meant to undermine the Houthi Ansarullah movement and restore power to the fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh. A total of nearly 14,000 people have been injured since late March; SABA News Agency reported.
