Egypt's Prime Minister Sharif Ismail approved the establishment of Ras Sidr Airport in the framework of South Sinai development plan, in a bid to support tourism, South Sinai Governor, Khalid Fouda said Tuesday, Al-Bawaba News reported. It came during a meeting, chaired by Ismail in the attendance of ministers of civil aviation and tourism, as well as representatives of concerned ministries and agencies to discuss the development of Ras Sidr province and the establishment of the airport, Fouda added. He stated that the Prime Minister called for the ministry of aviation and stakeholders to coordinate on providing the requirements for establishing the airport, arguing to increase the allocated space in anticipation for any future expansions at the airport.
