Israeli Police Fatally shoot 3 Palestinians, Critically Injure another in Jerusalem
Published in Albawaba on 13 - 10 - 2015

Three Palestinians – who carried out stabbing and gunfire attacks against Israelis on Tuesday – were fatally shot by Israeli police, while two others sustained serious injuries, Israeli sources said.
Israeli media claimed that two Palestinian suspects entered a bus in Jerusalem's Armon HaNatziv settlement, before one of them opened fire at the passengers, while the other attacker stabbed them with a knife. Both attackers were shot and killed.
Two Israelis were killed while 16 others were wounded in the attack, according to Isralei daily Haaretz, An Israeli police force arrived at the scene within minutes and opened fire at the two attackers, killing both of them.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian was shot and killed after he purportedly drove his car toward settlers pedestrians at a bus station in Jerusalem. A settler was reportedly killed, while others sustained various injuries.
Prior to this, Israeli police shot and seriously injured a Palestinian from Jerusalem for allegedly attempting to stab an Israeli settler in the city of Ra'anana in central Israel.
Later on Tuesday, Israeli media outlets claimed that another stabbing attack carried out by a Palestinian suspect took place in the same area. The Palestinian, who was attacked by Israeli pedestrians at the scene, was arrested by Israeli police while suffering serious wounds.
To be noted, Israeli police and army forces often resort to fatally shooting Palestinians - who are involved in alleged attacks against Israelis - while making no effort to apprehend them.
Tension has been growing high across the occupied Palestinian Territories, Jerusalem and Israel due to Israel's attempts to enforce a temporal division of al-Aqsa Mosque, Islam's third holiest place, between Muslims and Jews.
The situation has also been significantly deteriorating since the deadly arson attack on the Dawabsheh's family home on July 31, which was carried out by Jewish settlers. The Duma attack left 4-year-old Ahmad orphaned, after his toddler brother, Ali, father, Sa'ed, and mother, Reham, lost their lives.
A spillover of clashes have also been witnessed during the past few days, with more Arab towns in Israel partaking in protests against the Israeli occupation practices in the occupied land.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 27 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army and security forces between the period from October 1 – 12.
