Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for control and supervision of banks, Gamal Negm submitted his resignation to Hisham Ramez, the CBE governor, in a protest of the application of the maximum wage, Al-Bawaba News reported. Negm's salary estimated at EGP42,000 exceeds the maximum wage, as well as the salary of Ramez who is expected to quit his position for the same reason by the end of his contract, banking sources revealed.
