Minister of Defense and Military Production, Gen. Sedki Sobhi met with commander of U.S Central Command, Gen. Lloyd Austin and his accompanying delegation in Cairo on Wednesday, Al Bawaba news reported. The meeting addressed the military and security cooperation between Egypt and U.S., and regional key cases such as counter-terrorism. Austin has expressed his appreciation to Egypt's role in the region, and its efforts in counter-terrorism, assuring the support of U.S. to Egypt. Sobhi affirmed the depth of military relations between the two countries that lasted through decades of bilateral cooperation in many fields. The meeting was attended by Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Mahmoud Hegazy and other army's commanders.
