Minister of Defense Sedky Sobhy met U.S. Central Command Chief Lloyd Austin to review regional developments, official military spokesperson Mohamed Samir announced Tuesday on his official Facebook page. Both officials discussed a number of bilateral issues including the war against terrorism and U.S-led international airstrikes against the Islamic State. They also studied promoting military coordination between the two countries to establish conditions for regional security, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East, in presence of the US Chargé d'affaires in Cairo and a delegation of US military officials.
