The Israeli police detained two Palestinians after raiding their houses in Jerusalem's neighborhood of Jabal al-Mukabir. The detainees were identified as Khaled Elayyan and Mohammad ‘Ewaisat, the sources told WAFA. This came several hours after police detained four other Palestinians in the Old City of Jerusalem after breaking into their families' homes. The detainees were identified as Rami al-Fakhoury, Laith Ghaith, Mohammad and Obada Najib. Meanwhile in Hebron district, forces detained Samer Zahda, 30, after storming and searching his house in al-Shuhada Street. Forces also raided the Hebron's town of Dura, where they detained Yousef al-Faqih, 24, after storming and searching his home. Furthermore, forces severely beat up a Palestinian at the entrance of Bani Na‘im, a town to the East of Hebron. Mahmoud Manasra, 23, sustained fractures and wounds across his body, necessitating his transfer to hospital for medical treatment, where medics described his condition as moderate. The Israeli Police further raided several other neighborhoods in the Hebron area and set up military checkpoints at the entrances of the towns of Sair and Halhoul as well as at the northern entrance of the city, inspecting the identity cards of passing Palestinian registered cars, causing a traffic jam. In the meantime in Bethlehem district, forces summoned two Palestinians after breaking into their houses in Beit Fajjar town to the South of the city. As‘ad, 29, and Mujahed Thawabta, 25, were handed notices ordering them to appear for interrogation before the Israeli intelligence at Gush Etzion settlement bloc.
