Minister of Commerce and Industry, Tarek Kabeel stressed Saturday that Egypt is fully eager to boost cooperation in trade and investment with all African countries, Al Bawaba News reported. This came during a meeting with the Secretary-General of Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Sindiso Ngwenya, who is currently visiting Egypt to attend inauguration of African export-import bank branch. Kabeel pointed out the need to open more markets within the continent before Egyptian products during the next phase, adding that there are many investment and export opportunities in the continent. The minister explained that his ministry is always keen on constant communication with COMESA, Southern African Development Community (SADC) and East Africa, to strengthen the bonds of cooperation. He highlighted that Egypt seeks to make the most of the free trade agreement with these three blocs, which was signed in June this year in the city of Sharm El Sheikh.
