Egyptian Antiquities Minister Mamdouh al-Damati expressed his appreciation for PM Sharif Ismail's renewed confidence in his ministry, vowing the completion of several scheduled projects, al-Bawaba News reported Saturday. In a statement issued Saturday, al-Damati announced that the British Egyptologist, Nicholas Reeves, who suggested a theory that Tutankhamun's tomb includes Nefertiti's secret tomb, will visit Egypt on Sept. 27 for a four-day visit. Reeves is scheduled to meet with Egyptian Egyptologists and officials in Luxor, southern Egypt, to discuss his theory. On Oct. 1st , an international press conference will be held in Cairo to announce the conclusions of his theory, al-Damati added. He signaled the launch of "The builders of Pyramids era" touring museum which will be hosted by Japan for 25 months, through which it will tour in eight major cities in Japan. The touring museum includes 120 pieces. Al-Damati stressed the successful fair held in France under the title "The Sunk Secrets of Egypt" which was inaugurated by French president, Francois Hollande. Al-Damati denied the media reports about the deterioration of Ibis statue, which was among the Egyptian monuments in the French fair, affirming that the status is in a good condition after the restoration works prior to the fair. He pointed out that the opening of the Museum of Islamic Art, and the Museum of Mallawi in Minya will be postponed till the end of 2015 rather October.
