Parliamentary affairs researcher, Mohamed Bakr said that there are constitutional articles that could dissolve the upcoming Parliament, Al Bawaba News reported Saturday. Bakr pointed out that the constitution states that if the parliament refused the head of the current government, it must name a new prime minister. He added that Al Nour Party is expected to take next parliament majority so it will choose the new prime minister, stressing that the other parties and political forces would reject the Islamist party's nomination. Bakr stressed that constitution's article 146 stipulates that "If the government does not win the confidence of the majority of the members of the House of Representatives within thirty days at the most, the President shall appoint a Prime Minister who is nominated by the party or the coalition that holds the majority or the highest number of seats in the House of Representatives and if the government of such prime minister fails to win the confidence of the majority of the members of the House of Representatives within thirty days, the House shall be deemed dissolved".
