Yemen's Vice President and Prime Minister, Khaled Bahah, last night, met with the UAE Special Envoy for Yemen, Dr. Mubarak Saeed Ghafan Al Jaberi. Bahah praised the UAE for its role in liberating Aden and other Yemeni areas, as part of the Saudi-led Arab alliance. He stressed that the "Yemeni government has returned to Yemen to stay there permanently and exercise its responsibilities in Aden and all other governorates liberated from the rebel Houthi militia and forces loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh." He also stressed that the government seeks to spare the blood of Yemenis and will regain control of all other governorates and cities from the rebel militias. The government, he said, has urgent issues to address "in a direct and serious manner" in the coming days. Reconstruction, development, restoring services, healthcare and taking care of the injured are the government's top priorities. For his part, the UAE envoy conveyed to Bahah and members of the government the UAE government's congratulations on their return to their home country. He stressed that mutual cooperation between the two countries will be enhanced to help restore security, stability and normality to Aden and other governorates.
