Egypt's new PM Sharif Ismail held a miniature ministerial meeting, including Housing Minister Mustafa Matwaly, Finance Minister Hany Kadry, Supply Minister Khaled Hanafi, and Youth Minister Khalid Abdul Aziz, Al-Bawaba news reported Tuesday. Ismail is expected to merge some ministries to ensure proper coordination of duties and better service. The ministry of urban development will combine with the ministry of housing, while the ministry of population will merge with the ministry of health. He also intends to make a major change in economy sector. President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi tasked on Saturday the outgoing oil minister Sharif Ismail with forming the new cabinet within a week, after he had accepted the resignation of PM Ibrahim Mahlab's government.
