Egypt's official gazette published on Wednesday the High Elections Committee (HEC)'s resolution No. 85 of 2015 to amend the timetable of the upcoming parliamentary elections, Al-Bawaba News reported. The HEC stated in its decision that the 2015 polls will be held according to the schedule annexed to the resolution in the official gazette which included presenting applications since Sept. 1 till 12. The committee had allocated the period from Sept. 19 to 27 for the adjudication of appeals, taking into account that these days punctuated by a two-day holiday of Eid Al-Adha, meanwhile it will announce the final statements for the first phase and the start of the election campaign on Sept. 28. The HEC spokesperson, Omar Marwan revealed that the committee decided to extend the period to receive the candidates' medical reports till Sept. 15. Marwan added that the HEC will not accept new applications for candidacy after Sept. 12, and will be limited to receive nominations through primary courts.
