Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abollahian and Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov talked on phone about developments in the Middle East notably Syria and Yemen, Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday. They underlined finding a political way to the settlement of the crises in Syria and Yemen based on UN Charter and international norms, it added. The statement did not provide details of the talks, but Iran and Syria hold common stand on the crises in the two Arab countries. Syria has been engulfed in a civil war imposed by terrorist groups supported by foreign countries for the last years and Yemen has come under foreign military aggression led by Saudi regime since March.
