Georgian Ambassador to Cairo, Archil Dzuliashvili announced Sunday that his country will support Egypt's ambition of acquiring a non-permanent seat in the UN Security Council, Al-Bawaba News reported. Dzuliashvili stressed that Georgia pays special attention to strengthening the political and economic relations with Egypt, which is one of the most important countries in the Middle East and the Arab world. He pointed out that bilateral relations between both countries have been boosted, after the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Egyptian Businessmen Association and the Georgian Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, he revealed that the investors association in Alexandria and Georgian employers' organization has a memorandum of understanding on encouraging visits from both sides to the port of Alexandria and the Georgian port of Poti. The ambassador highlighted that the universities of Georgia and Tbilisi have signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Cairo, in an attempt to enhance cooperation in the field of education. Moreover, he added that the Georgian National Center of Manuscripts have signed a memorandum of understanding with library of Alexandria, in order to improve cooperation in cultural the field.
