Head of Suez Canal Authority, Mohab Mamish announced Tuesday that the Suez Canal authority has set a new record in allowing 70 cargo ships of four million tons to cross over through the two-way canal. Mamish said that the significant increase in the number of cargos and passing ships demonstrates the importance of establishing the new Suez Canal to raise the capacity of receiving more ships, thus achieving the expected increase in global trade going through the Suez Canal.
