Eighty students from Faculty of Archaeology participated in Fashion and Design program organized by Egyptian Museum's Child sector under the auspices of Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh al-Damati, Al-Bawaba Newspaper reported Tuesday. The program includes a series of lectures, guided tours, workshops for creating old and up-to-date fashion, perfumes, cosmetics and ancient Egyptian accessories as well as learning how to draw inspiration from the ancient Egyptian civilization in contemporary designs. General manger of Egyptian Museum, Mahmoud Al-Halogi stated that "the importance of organizing such programs is to be an element of attraction." General manger of the Department of Cultural Development and Educational Museum at the Ministry of Antiquities, Dr. Rasha Kamal stated that "the idea came from watching fashion shows inspired by ancient Egyptian civilization designers." Nihad Elhamy, a researcher in fashion designing and archaeologist at Great Museum, said that the program aimed at familiarizing the trainees with the rules and elements of fashion design and display modern schools ideas.
