The Ateret Cohanim Right-Wing organization, on Thursday has seized a new residential building in Silwan town, after its papers were leaked and sold by its owner. The Wadi Hilweh Information Center in Silwan said that more than 60 settlers broke into the town at about 2:30 AM, carrying their belongings, and seized the building. The settlers were guarded by heavily armed forces. The settlers immediately surrounded the building with iron fences and covered the windows, raising the Israeli flag. The building consists of 12 apartments in five stories, four of them were seized but one Palestinian family refused to leave the last story. The center said that Jamal Serhan, owner of the building, forced the Palestinian residents to leave their apartments, and changed the locks. One family insisted to stay in their home. The number of settler groupings in the town now hit seven, after some were sold and some seized by the Ateret Cohanim organization, which tries to create a Jewish majority in occupied East Jerusalem at the expense of Palestinians.
