Differences between Al Wafd and Free Egyptians parties resurfaced again, concerning candidates running for upcoming parliamentary elections, Al Bawaba News reported Friday. The differences between the two parties took another turn, after Al Wafd members were divided into supporters and non-supporters of party chairman, Sayid Al Badawi. However, spokesman for Free Egyptians, Shahab Wajih announced that his party welcomes those wishing to run under the party's name. Secretary-General of the party, Essam Khalil revealed that several members of Al Wafd came to his party in order to ask to run for the elections through it. Khalil stressed that establishing an alliance between the two parties, which would represent a liberal current in the elections, is very difficult, due to the different ideologies of the two parties.
