Saudi air strikes targeted an area in the Harad district in Hajjah, located approximately 130 kilometers (80 miles) Northwest of the capital, Sana'a, on Friday, and killed the four women. Saudi military aircraft also carried out 10 aerial attacks against Aqan district in the province of Lahij; but there were no immediate reports on possible casualties and the extent of damage inflicted. Saudi warplanes conducted a number of airstrikes on Yemen's province of Hudaydah late on Thursday, killing an unknown number of civilians. Saudi jets also bombed the Northwestern and mountainous province of Sa'ada, killing at least one civilian there. Meanwhile, Yemeni army soldiers backed by fighters from allied Popular Committees targeted Saudi forces in al-Khobe district of Saudi Arabia's Jizan region. No reports on fatalities or possible damage were immediately available. Saudi Arabia has been striking Yemen for 143 days now to restore power to fugitive president Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh. Hadi stepped down in January and refused to reconsider the decision despite calls by Ansarullah revolutionaries of the Houthi movement. Despite Riyadh's claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures. The Monarchy's attacks have so far claimed the lives of at least 5,396 civilians, mostly women and children.
