Egypt's Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab inspected Tuesday preparations for land reclamation project in Upper Egypt's Minya governorate, accompanied by numerous ministers, Al-Bawaba News reported. The urgent visit included ministers of planning, local development, housing, electricity, irrigation, and agriculture, said Cabinet Spokesman. It comes in context of implementing the million-acre reclamation project, previously promised by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, seeking to boost the country's economy and provide thousands of job opportunities to the Egyptian youths. During the visit, Mahlab was briefed on contracts made between the ministries of military production and irrigation on drilling water wells needed for the reclamation, the spokesman said.
