Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi said Monday that the new Suez Canal will boost the international trade maritime navigation due to the ships crossing waiting time reduction, Al Bawaba News reported. Sisi added that the development of the Suez Canal will help giant ships that require large depths in order to cross. He pointed out that the Canal region will witness a number of projects that include the development of industrial zones and logistics services, adding that the work in development of East Port Said area project is already started. On August 6, Sisi inaugurated the new Suez Canal which was praised by a large number of economic and investment experts, describing it as a turning point in Egypt's economy.
