Speaking to reporters, he said that large turnout of people in the 2013 presidential election made the world powers disappointed with imposed sanctions. The international community changed behavior towards Iran immediately after issuance of the CJPOA, the official added. He said that enemies wanted to manipulate sanctions as a tool to divide people from the establishment but they failed to do so. Zarif said that the final text of CJPOA is balanced because other sides of talks could not impose their demands on Iran and in the meantime, Iran also could not reach all its requests. Iran and P5+1 have been asked to accomplish their obligations simultaneously durig a decade, he noted. UN Security Council (UNSC) Resolution 2231, despite imposing some limitations on Iran's nuclear program, urges the presence of other states to participate in Iran's nuclear activities, Zarif noted. He said that Iran has only accepted some limitations on its peaceful nuclear activities and missile capabilities in exchange for removal of its sanctions.
