Egypt's Minister of Antiquities Mamdouh Damati announced Thursday that the fees required for the museums entry across the country have been dropped for three weeks, Al Bawaba News reported. This decision comes in the light of the celebrations of the new Suez Canal inauguration. Damati explained that this decision applies for all museums in various governorates. He stressed that the lighting of a number of archaeological sites will be turned on in the same time of the inauguration of the canal. Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi inaugurated the new Suez Canal today. The project was praised by a large number of economic and investment experts who described it as a turning point in Egypt's economy. The event was attended by a large number of world leaders.
