US Secretary of State, John Kerry said on Sunday that the US would continue supporting the Egyptian military, Al-Bawaba News reported. "We have great opportunities for cooperation to combat terrorism, and that requires a lot of national strategies," Kerry said in a speech during the opening session of the Egyptian-American strategic dialogue in Cairo, pointing out that the strategic relations between Egypt and the US are based on the opportunities and not threats. In another context, Kerry welcomed the steps taken by the Egyptian President Abd Al Fattah Al-Sisi to improve economic climate in Egypt and provide greater opportunities for business, praising the important decisions in the field of energy as well as steps taken regarding the reduction of subsidies on energy prices. On the other hand, Kerry stressed that the US would like to strengthen cooperation in the field of small and medium enterprises, signaling that the U.S. is investing $ 800 million in products manufactured in Egypt's free economic zones. At the conclusion of his speech, Kerry praised the friendship between the two countries based on full awareness and understanding of the common interests and the importance of cooperation to combat terrorism.
