Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Elaraby welcomed Friday Egypt's declaration of its commitment towards strengthening the relationship with Saudi Arabia, Veto News reported. Egypt's declaration came during the visit of Saudi Crown Prince and Defense Minister, Mohamed bin Salman to Cairo Thursday. Elaraby also praised the results of this visit, saying that it represents a major step towards further development and strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries, which in turn will be reflected on the establishment of joint Arab force. He pointed out that the agreement reached between President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and the Saudi Crown Prince on the adoption of the joint Arab force would reflect positively on the next meeting of the Arab defense and foreign ministers on the 27th of August. Furthermore, he stressed that this agreement will help speed up the process of establishing the joint Arab force, which will contribute significantly in maintaining the Arab national security and protecting the Arab people from the threat of terrorism. The Secretary-General added that the relationship between Egypt and Saudi Arabia has been a strong one and it will most likely remain strong, describing it as the pillar of the Arab force and a guarantee of security, as well as stability of the region.
