Italian oil company Eni announced Friday updating its agreement signed with Egypt last March, Al Bawaba News reported. The $ five-billion agreement came after the important gas discovery in the Nile Delta area to pave the way for increasing its projects. Egyptian Petroleum Ministry, said earlier this week that "Eni" has made new discoveries, including 15 bln cubic meters of gas in Western Abu Madi district, 120 km northeast of Alexandria. Eni is one of the major producers of energy in Egypt, with a daily production volume of about 180 thousand barrels of oil equivalent.
