One fireman was injured in a Monday morning fire that destroyed an old house and caused damages to surrounding buildings in Ramses square, Al-Bawaba News reported. The fire was reported in a big paper store located in Al-Fagala neighborhood, the largest center for book publishing in Egypt. Fire moved though structure, causing total collapse of the house, with heat from the blaze damaging the siding of adjoining homes. A number of Civil Security vehicles and fire trucks rushed to the fire scene to put out the fire and prevent its spread to near buildings. The houses were immediately evacuated from residents while the cause of the fire remains unknown. Cairo's Chief of Police, Khaled Metwaly inspected the civil protection measures in the area accompanied by a team of forensic examination to find out the cause of the fire.
