President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi said Tuesday that the ‘anti-terrorism' draft law is not intended to oppress anyone, Al Bawaba News reported. This came during an Iftar ceremony organized by the Ministry of Endowments on the occasion of Ramadan's Laylat Al Qadr or (Night of Destiny) at Al-Azhar's hall in Nasr City. It was attended by the president and a number of public figures, including politicians, journalists, artists, athletes and the young people who participated in June 30 revolution. He said that the draft law does not favor a certain category of people at the expense of others, stressing that the sole purpose of it is to efficiently address the danger of terrorism on the nation. Al Sisi added that he has the support of the Egyptian people, stressing the need to trust the choice of the people who are represented in political leadership.
