Spokesman of Egypt's Ministry of Interior announced Monday that the security forces have detained 31 Muslim Brotherhood (MB)'s leaders across the country, Al Bawaba News reported. The suspects are charged with attacking public and private institutions and participating in and inciting violence in different governorates, the spokesman added. President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi has been trying to revive the country's economy, after the June 30 Revolution, which led to the ouster of president Mohamed Morsi, the leading member of the MB. The country has been living in a state of political turmoil and security vacuum as a result of MBs' targeting of state institutions, army personnel and policemen, especially in northern Sinai.
