Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu criticized negotiators in Vienna for sitting with Iran while hundreds of thousands in the country marched in anti-West "parades" in the country on the same weekend. "Iranian president Hassan Rouhani headed the parade of hate in Tehran, a parade in which American and Israeli flags were burned and the crowds chanted 'Death to America. Death to Israel,'" he said. "Meanwhile in Vienna, the parade of concessions to Iran took place, even on issues that were red-line issues in Lausanne, because they were bad parts of a deal." Netanyahu quoted Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei as saying that Iran needs to prepare to wage war with the US, whether there is a deal or not. "Iran does not hide its plan for murderous aggression against those countries negotiating with it," Netanyahu said. He added that the deal furthers Iran's path to nuclear bombs and gives Iran's "occupying terror machine" hundreds of billions of dollars. "That is why this deal is endangering peace in the entire world." Negotiations over Iran's nuclear program appeared to reach their penultimate moment as Tehran's nuclear chief, Ali Akbar Salehi, declared "good news" to gathered press on Saturday night. Drafting of the deal's text is said to be complete, according to the EU's foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini. Going into consequential talks on Saturday night, all that was left, it appeared, was a small set of political decisions to be settled by all sides.
