Egypt's President, Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi will release a number of young detainees on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr before the end of Ramadan, a source told Al-Bawaba News Wednesday. The sources confirmed that the President is currently looking at a list of names granted amnesty to spend Eid al-Fitr among their families. The source added that pardoned prisoners are young people imprisoned for breaching current demonstration law, others will be pardoned in the upcoming period. President Sisi requested young media representatives and "Asmaona" initiative to form a committee, in cooperation with the institution of the presidency, Ministry of Interior, and a number of human rights associations, to list young prisoners awaiting the amnesty names. The President announced in the First Iftar with the "Egyptian Family" his intention to release other detainees after the release of 165 young prisoners for breaching the protest law.
