Secretary General of the Muslim Brotherhood (MB) International Organization, Ibrahim Munir declined Sunday a proposal to temporarily dissolve the group's activities in Egypt, AL Bawaba News reported. The proposal, made by the MB senior figure Gamal Abdel Satar, seeks to relieve what he considered "the regime's aggression" against the Brotherhood. "Despite the MB's infestations over the years, the proposal of dissolution has never been on the table," Munir said, adding the group's affiliates have to further adhere to its path and ideology. Munir insisted on the coherent relationships within the Brotherhood, calling on those who launch such proposals to leave the group. Following a string of deadly blasts against police personnel and civilians, mostly in the Sinai Peninsula, the MB was listed Sept. 2013 by Egypt's judiciary as terrorist group. Dozens of the group's heavyweights, including the former president Mohamed Morsi, were sentenced to death over terror-related crimes.
