Egypt's Jamaa Islamiya leader, Aboud El-Zomor warned of drawing Egypt into the hustle of political assassinations, after the murder of the late public prosecutor, Hisham Barakat, Al-Bawaba News reported Friday. El-Zomor, who was jailed for 30 years for his role in the assassination of Egypt's former president Anwar Sadat, asserted that the Egyptians would pay the price for such reckless terrorist operations from the country's security and stability. "We should not open the door for political assassinations, because this door will not be closed easily," El-Zomor said. Egypt's Attorney General, Hisham Barakat died Monday after a deadly car bomb targeting his convoy in Cairo. The explosion left nine people injured and caused severe damages to a number of vehicles and surrounding buildings.
