In an operation meant to rid al Anbar district from Islamic State (IS) elements, Iraqi troops bombed a number of IS zodiacs and killed a number of its elements in different areas of Al Anbar district, Al Bawaba News cited Iraqi military sources. The sources added that Iraqi troops, backed by Hezbollah militants, killed four IS elements, crushed a guided missiles base and defused 20 improvised explosive devices (IEDs). Al Anbar council director, Sabah Karhout called the Iraqi parliament for an urgent session to discuss IS's blockage of Al Ramadi dam causing a great drop in Euphrates level in the province, stressing on the dangerous outputs of the water war that IS adopted within Al Anbar and the south provinces of Iraq.
