Head of Suez Canal Authority, Mohab Mamish stated Wednesday that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's visit to Berlin included a detailed presentation on available investment opportunities in Suez Canal, Al-Bawaba news reported. "The German contribution will be in the areas of construction and ship maintenance, infrastructure and energy industry," Mamsih said. Mamish also explained Egypt's needs in the energy field, and all investment opportunities available in the project; he was open to hear investment offers from the German side. He described the visit as an important step forward, like all previous ones within the framework of Egypt's keenness to be open to the world and to move forward. Mamish added that Egypt cannot be politically strong without being economically solid, therefore projects displayed are in the field of cars, ships and energy industries, indicating there were bids from German companies for the production of electricity through mobile units in the center of the Suez Canal, which is a global electricity generation trend. He said that in less than a year, Egyptians were drilling in the rocks to create their new channel, and explained that his participation in the presidential visits is important for the Suez Canal axis. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is keen to promote the project in the manufacturers' pool of logistics in the whole world, and therefore we are trying to explain returns on investment opportunities, Mamish said, stressing that Egypt would return strongly to the global investment map.
