An ISIS militant currently in the custody of Lebanese authorities confessed Tuesday that he filmed the beheading of two Lebanese soldiers who were captured by the group, the National News Agency reported. Abdel-Rahman Bazerbashi, also known as ‘Baghdadi's grandson,' confessed to Military Investigative Judge Imad Zein during interrogations Tuesday that he was behind the camera when soldiers Abbas Medlej and Ali as-Sayyed were being beheaded by ISIS militants. The 21-year-old jihadi also confessed to killing a serviceman in the northern city of Tripoli and throwing grenades at churches in the area, NNA said. NNA reported that the Army Intelligence arrested Bazerbashi last month at a checkpoint when he was heading from Arsal to north Lebanon. Bazerbashi is a Lebanese national from the northern city of Tripoli who left Lebanon to join ISIS in Syria's Qalamoun region in 2012, according to several reports. He is suspected of carrying out several attacks on the Army and participating in clashes against the military in both Tripoli and Arsal. ISIS has been active outside Arsal for more than a year. In August 2014, militants from ISIS and the Nusra Front briefly overran Arsal, sparking a 5-day battle with the Lebanese Army that left dozens dead. The jihadi groups abducted more than 30 Lebanese soldiers and policemen during the battle and transported them to the town's outskirts where around 25 are still being held hostage. Four of the original hostages have since been killed - two by ISIS and two by Nusra - and eight were released.
