Egypt's President, Abdel Fattah Al Sisi attends Tuesday the swearing-in ceremony of Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al Bashir, among several Heads of State and Government in Omdurman city. The inauguration of the re-elected Sudanese president is held at the National Assembly after which Sisi and other invited leaders will meet Al Bashir at the new Republican Palace in Khartoum. Heads of State and Government listed as guests at the inauguration ceremony include African Union Chairman and Zimbabwe President, Robert Mugabe, the presidents of Chad, Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti, the Vice President of South Sudan, the Prime Minister of Ethiopia and the secretary-general of the Arab League among others. Egypt and Sudan share close historical and economic ties, including trade and agriculture.
