Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil El Araby received Monday an invitation from the Georgian Foreign Minister to visit his country in order to discuss the prospects of cooperation between the Arab League and Georgia, Al Bawaba newspaper reported. Georgia's Deputy Foreign Minister Gigi Gigiadze handed the invitation to Deputy Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Ben Helli during their meeting to discuss the counter-terrorism measures. Ben Helli told reporters that the meeting dealt with terror-related issues and countering measures taken by the Arab League, in addition to developing new ways to eradicate the roots of terrorism, stressing the need for uniting international efforts to counter terrorism.
