Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will honor Egypt for its efforts to fight the hunger, Egypt's Ambassador to Italy Amr Helmy said on Monday. He added, in a statement to Youm7, that the ceremony will be attended by world, leaders, international officials and Egypt's Minister of Agriculture Salah Helal. FAO, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and World Food Program said, in a report entitled "the State of Food Insecurity in the World 2015", that Egypt reduced the number of people suffering from starvation. It added that Egypt achieved the first of UN Millinieum Development Goals. The Egyptian diplomat signaled that Egypt's cooperation with FAO, IFAD and the World Food Programme focuses on the issues related to agricultural development and irrigation technologies. Egypt, alongside with 72 other countries from Africa, Asia and Latin America, has succeeded in reducing the number of people suffering from hunger, according to UN's report.
