Egypt's Prime Minister, Ibrahim Mahlab met Sunday French far-right National Front leader, Marine Le Pen and members of the European Parliament in Cairo, Al Bawaba News reported. Le Pen testified to Egypt's important role in achieving stability in the conflict-torn region and praised Al Sisi's speeches that reflect "his wisdom and vision", according to her. Le Pen said terrorism does not belong to any religion, adding that Al Azhar as a religious institution must play an important role to show the world the truth of moderate Islam. Egyptian cabinet spokesperson, Ambassador Hossam Al Qawesh said Mahlab stressed during the meeting on Sisi's clear vision for the renewal of the religious discourse, confirming that extremism does not represent any religion. The prime minister pointed out that terrorism was a global phenomenon that must be confronted, denouncing the funding, harboring and arming of extremist groups in some Arab countries.
