Egyptian PM, Ibrahim Mahlab met on Thursday with his Jordanian counterpart, Abdullah Ensour in Amman where the two sides signed ten agreements including projects in the fields of investment, energy, media, culture, water and diplomatic affairs, The Jordan Times reported. Jordan and Egypt have set up a new road-map for economic and commercial relations, Mahlab said in a meeting with Jordanian businessmen and investors. Referring to the achievements of the Joint Jordanian-Egyptian Higher Committee meetings, Mahlab indicated his country will provide 100 scholarships for Jordanian students to study medicine at its universities. Jordan's Agriculture Minister Akef Zu'bi will visit Cairo to coordinate with his Egyptian counterpart on various agriculture-related issues, Mahlab said, highlighting the two countries' interest in bilateral trade in food items and agricultural production. The Egyptian premier added tourist cooperation was also among the issues discussed at the meetings. The meeting also saw the signing of agreements calling for the implementation of recent social and economic resolutions issued by the Cairo-based Arab League and other regional bodies.
