Libyan Minister of Media, Artifacts and Culture, Omar Al Qweri confirmed Saturday in a statement to Middle East News Agency (MENA) that his country will participate in Arab media ministers' conference, which will be held in Cairo on May 19. Al Qweri also revealed that his country will propose the creation of an Arabian TV channel that unites the Arab countries in the media field, same as the joint Arab military force. He explained that the channel's aim is to counter terrorism and extremism. Additionally, he stressed that the Arab countries have massive capabilities, which allow them to establish a joint Arab media that serves their interests and influences the international media, especially, the European media that is trying to tarnish the Arab societies' image. The Libyan minister added that during his stay in Egypt, he will visit a number of media organizations, such as Akhbar El Yom newspaper and MENA, in order to discuss aspects of mutual cooperation with them.
