Egyptian security forces arrested 23 terror suspects in Ain Shams district, one of them was accused of killing journalist Mayada Ashraf during MB protests in 2014, Al Bawaba News reported. Mayada Ashraf was a reporter with Al Dostour newspaper and was fatally shot during her coverage of clashes April 4, 2014 in the Ain Shams district between security forces and pro-Muslim Brotherhood protesters. Dozens of Brotherhood's members were arrested after the ousting of president Mohamed Morsi in July 2013, on accusations of inciting violence and sabotage across the country.
