Egypt's PM Ibrahim Mahlab met Wednesday in Cairo the U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and a number of representatives, to discuss investment opportunities in Egypt, and to review the results of Egyptian experience in economic reform, Al-Bawaba News reported. Mahlab stressed, during the meeting, Egypt has witnessed great economic and political progresses compared to last year, noting that many international financial institutions have affirmed Egypt's credit rating has improved, the Egyptian cabinet spokesperson Hossam Alqawish said. Alqawish added that Sharm el-Sheikh Economic Conference was a great success witnessed by many international economic organizations, indicating a follow-up on all agreements signed through the conference is currently in process. The chamber delegation invited the Egyptian delegation to participate in an economic forum in Washington, scheduled for May 12, with 300 U.S. economic experts in attendance, he added. Mahlab stated the importance of cooperation with the U.S. delegation going to Washington, to highlight the benefits of investment in Egypt as well as the ongoing efforts of the Egyptian government to combat terrorism.
