Taliban publishes Mullah Omar biography

The Afghan Taliban posted a 5000-word Biography of Mullah Omar on their website Saturday, the 4th of April, 2015, on the 96th anniversary of his leadership, claiming that rumors of him being shot dead or even sick were incorrect and that he was alive and overseeing current affairs.
Mullah Omar is listed as one of the most dangerous terrorists in the world; the United States has offered a $ 10 million reward for his arrest.
Mohamed Omar Khould or Mullah Omar is the Godfather of Al Qaeda and leader of the Taliban, one of the most dangerous terrorist organizations in the world. The biography says he was born in 1960 in the village of Chah-i-Himmat, in the Khakrez district of Kandahar province, south Afghanistan. His father died at a young age leaving him to support his family.
Mullah Omar started as a simple religious man, with no idea or vision for the future of Afghanistan. He was not after power as he only wanted to rid Afghanistan of warlords.
When militants entered the city of Keble, Mullah Omar, who only wanted to complete his studies, started to consider revolting against corruption, according to the biography.
Mullah Omar abandoned school after the Soviet forces invaded Afghanistan and became a jihadist "to acquit himself of his religious obligations", gathering religiously oriented schoolmates and students, and using the help of traders and field commanders to combat the Russians from 1983 to 1991. He was reportedly wounded four times and lost his right eye.
In 1996 when the Taliban reached the outskirts of Kabul, they held a public meeting of about 1,500 participants which lasted from March 31 to April 3 1996, where Mullah Omar was unanimously elected "Head of the pious believers" or "Emir Al Mo'emenin".
Since that day, he became the legitimate prince of the Taliban with all the privileges of a Caliph. His followers obeyed his every command which endowed him with a religious charisma and approach.
"I was studying in a school with 20 fellow students, corruption controlled the world, from killings to looting, and stealing, however, no one imagined that it is possible to change this situation, I said to myself (God does not burden any soul beyond its capacity), this verse from the Quran should let me ignore this, but I trust in God. That kind of trust is never disappointing", Mullah Omar was quoted as saying.
He became the actual ruler of Afghanistan; all important decisions were signed by him and he ran the Taliban's and government's affairs by phone and wireless connections from Kandahar. He said he would move to Kabul once the Taliban took control of North Afghanistan.
Under Mullah Omar's rule, a strict interpretation of Islamic law was forced on Afghanistan under Taliban's rule, women were forced to leave schools and jobs, and forced to fully cover themselves. Adulteries were stoned to death, homosexuals were crushed under brick walls, thieves' hands were amputated, and murderers were publicly executed by victims' families.
Among the laws enforced by Mullah Omar, the death sentence for those converting to another religion, as well as the infamous orders to destroy the country's ancient Buddha statues at Bamiyan.
With approximately 90 per cent of Afghanistan under Taliban control, Mullah Omar is reported to have commenced the agenda of ‘transforming' Afghanistan into the ‘purest Islamic State' in the world.
After taking Kabul and establishing the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, the biography tells of the "arrogant infidel powers of the world" who "could not tolerate Sharia law" and launched a joint military invasion.
His weak skills addressing the masses, led to having no public speeches and interviews of him, in addition to the lack of political and organizational skills. He was prevented from attending public events to maintain his image among the public, and hide his weak charisma.
The biography says, "he is keenly following and inspecting the jihadi activities against the brutal infidel foreign invaders" adding: "He remains in touch with the day-to-day happenings of his country as well as the outside world."
Taliban is raising the issue of whether Mullah Omar is still alive or was killed in a US air raids during the US invasion of Afghanistan, publishing pictures of Mullah Omar on their website in celebration to their 20th anniversary, which brought controversy over his fate for the past two decades, in addition to his disciples, Ayman Al-Zawahiri and Bin Laden.
Mullah Omar's whereabouts is not known since the defeat of the Taliban, in Afghanistan, although some analysts believe Mullah Omar may be operating along or across the border of Pakistan.
