UN chief praises Egypt's efforts on Libya, Gaza

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon hailed as important Egypt's role in reaching a political settlement to the Libyan crisis and contributing to the Gaza reconstruction process.
During a meeting with visiting Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Friday night, the UN chief reviewed Egypt's efforts to host the Syrian opposition to unify their stances and commended its support for UN peacekeeping operations, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Badr Abdel Ati said.
