The US-led coalition has carried out seven airstrikes against Islamic State (IS) targets in Syria and 11 airstrikes in Iraq on Tuesday and Wednesday morning, Reuters reports. Six of the strikes took place near the Syrian border town of Kobani, destroying IS fighting positions and a vehicle, the military said. In Iraq, the strikes were concentrated near Bayji, hitting a tactical unit and a command-and-control facility. The coalition forces also conducted air strikes near Fallujah, Ramadi, Rawah and Tal Afar.
