The World Health Organization (WHO) announced Tuesday that 944 people were killed during the current armed conflict in Yemen since March 19, Al Bawaba News reported. The organization added that at least 3,487 people were wounded, depending on what is recorded by the hospitals. It expected that this number is not accurate, as many people were unable to reach hospitals for treatment. On Friday, WHO announced that 767 people were killed in Yemen since the beginning of the conflict. In the same context, UN Humanitarian Affairs Office announced in a statement that 150 thousand people have been displaced from their homes, 50 percent more than the previous UN estimates. Yemen has been living in a state of chaos since the Houthi insurgency launched an uprising against the Yemeni government, seizing large parts of the country.
