Port Said Criminal Court adjourned Tuesday the trial of former Muslim Brotherhood (MB) Supreme Guide Mohamed Badie and 190 co-defendants, til May 23 to resume the defense hearing, Al Youm7 News reported. The defendants will remain in custody until the next trial session, the judge said. Badie and MB leaders Mohamed Al Beltagy and Safwat Hegazy are charged with inciting members of the Brotherhood to storm Al Arab police station, where they facilitated the escape of prisoners and committed larceny of firearms, resulting in the killing of five policemen, 2013.
